Fort Frances is taking steps to attract commercial investors by prioritizing economic development initiatives and expanding on ideas to entice industry to locate in the area. One of the ideas proposed is the development of an industrial park. Other ideas include expanding the Fort Frances Airport by increasing access to land that could be used to build additional hangars, beautifying the town and increasing the overall budget to pave the way for economic development initiatives to be pursued.
