Funding of $39,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. has placed the Re-inventing Fort Frances committee a step closer to hiring a consultant.
The reinventing project is meant to promote tourism in Fort Frances, while creating and retaining jobs and revitalizing the business district.
The committee is still waiting to hear from FedNor about an application for funding. If funding is secured from FedNor, it is expected town council will agree to hire a consultant.
