Come May 1, Wasaya Airways LP will offer non-stop flights to Winnipeg from Sioux Lookout with through service from Thunder Bay.
“We heard loud and clear, our guests and corporate accounts want a Winnipeg connection,” said Wasaya president-CEO Michael Rodyniuk in a news release.
“After researching the market, we realized there is a market opportunity here."
Flights to Winnipeg will run Monday to Friday, connecting all the communities the airline serves through Sioux Lookout. Beechcraft 1900-D twin-turbine aircraft, with stand-up cabins and executive shuttle seating, will be employed.
“With the introduction of our flights to Winnipeg from Sioux Lookout, Wasaya will connect convenient, cost-effective air transportation to all the communities we serve,” said Rodyniuk.
