Economic development professionals from across the province will gather in Sudbury this June for an industry event hosted by the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO).
Scheduled to take place June 16-17 at Science North, the two-day session is one of four regional events the organization is holding in 2025 and the only one slated for Northern Ontario.
EDCO is Canada’s largest provincial economic development association, in operation since 1957. Its events are designed as opportunities for networking and the sharing of ideas.
The Sudbury event will kick off with a ‘Taste of Sudbury’ welcome reception, followed by sessions focusing on infrastructure, tourism, homelessness impacts, and downtown revitalization.
They include:
- Transformative Infrastructure: explore major infrastructure projects shaping Sudbury’s growth;
- Tourism and Attractions: learn about innovative strategies driving regional tourism and growth;
- Interactive Breakout on Homelessness and Economic Impact: discuss pressing challenges facing Northern Ontario; and
- Downtown Revitalization Panel: gain insights from key projects revitalizing Sudbury’s downtown core.
Registration for the event is now open.
