The Super 8 and Travelodge hotels in Timmins have undergone an ownership change.
Holloway Lodging Corp. announced on June 18 it had sold the two locations in an $11.4-million transaction. The name of the buyer was not disclosed.
Located on the main thoroughfare, Algonquin Blvd., the 74-room Super 8 property is located near the intersection of Highways 101 and 655, and minutes from the Timmins Victor M. Power Airport.
The Travelodge is also located on a main thoroughfare, Riverside Drive, and has 91 rooms available, in addition to conference and meeting facilities and a restaurant.
Timmins has been adding to its accommodations in recent years, including a Holiday Inn Express and Suites and a Microtel Inn and Suites, to boost room availability.
