NEOnet and its regional partners are hosting a local innovation summit to provide specific input into Industry Canada's National Innovation Strategy.
The summit's objectives are to develop consensus on an innovation vision for the Timmins region, agree on an action plan to attain that vision and provide input to the national implementation plan. Four challenges will be addressed during the summit: creating new knowledge and bringing it to market more quickly, developing skills for the new economy, setting the right business and regulatory environment and strengthening communities across Canada.
The summit will take place on Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Senator Hotel and Conference Centre in Timmins. A light lunch will be served.
