Striking workers at Industrial Hardwood Products Ltd. in Thunder Bay have marked their second year on the picket line and still no end in sight for the strike.
The company, which produces laminated flooring for boxcars and transport trucks, has maintained production with replacement workers. It has been a year since any talks have taken place between the company and the union, officials say.
Issues that remain unresolved include rates of pay, mandatory drug testing and a requisite to speak and write English in order to be eligible for a promotion.
