The City of Dryden has submitted an application to the heritage fund’s economic diversification assistance program requesting funding of $280,000.
If approved, the money will be used for landscaping, highway signs and improvements to the city’s entrances. The city and its partners in the project, Weyerhaeuser Inc. and the Dryden District Horticultural Society, want to draw traffic to the downtown core.
The three partners will contribute 25 per cent of the cost of the project, which could get underway in the spring of 2003.
