Sudbury paver lands Armstrong highway contract

Pioneer Construction of Sudbury has been awarded an $8.3-million contract to rebuild a 24-kilometre section of Highway 527 in northwestern Ontario. Work begins this summer on the stretch beginning eight kilometres north of Highway 881.

Work begins this summer on the stretch beginning eight kilometres north of Highway 881. The completion date is this fall.

The highway is the main road between Thunder Bay and Armstrong.

Two years ago, the Ontario government spent $7.7 million to reconstruct a 25-kilometre section of the same highway.
