Elliot Lake’s airport received a funding boost to assist in the construction of a 12,000-square-foot hangar and other infrastructure improvements.
Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is contributing $418,200 toward the project.
Funding is also earmarked for installation of a high-pressure pump, fuel tanks, office space, a service road and other industrial park upgrades at the
Elliot Lake Airport Industrial Park to attract new aviation industries.
