A Sault Ste. Marie lawyer wants to stem the outflow of young people from the community by developing a tracking database.
Michael O’Neill has assembled a panel of business and community leaders who are seeking city council’s support to create a database to allow the city to keep track of who is leaving and where they are going.
O’Neill believes the loss of young people represents a significant loss to the community’s vitality and future development.
A Web site would be created to pass on information about job prospects in the Sault.
In addition, O’Neill wants to create a scholarship endowment fund.
