Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) got good reviews in the Globe and Mail.
The article, Rural medicine: How a gamble to bring in doctors is paying off by André Picard, appeared on the Globe’s online news service Jan. 14.
It says 94 per cent of NOSM graduates who do a family medicine residency in the North stay here to practise, and 69 per cent of all graduates have opted to work in remote and rural areas, particularly Northern Ontario.
