An upcoming one-day workshop in North Bay will provide a forum for participants to ask technical questions about wind power and other renewable power energy sources.
The course, offered by TREC, focuses on renewable energy and will cover such topics as new energy regime, community power options, community green power and community project startup.
TREC is a non-profit organization founded in 1999, and is an association of community groups doing and planning to do sustainable energy projects. This year TREC will be installing a 750-kilowatt turbine on the harbour front in Toronto. This workshop is designed to show the public what the alternative is to corporate controlled green electricity supply. The course takes place on May 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in North Bay.
