Upheaval at the Almaguin-Nipissing Travel Association has lead to the resignation of its president.
Irene Chmil tendered her resignation following a non-confidence vote Sept. 19 at the association's annual general meeting. Vice-president Michel Dalaire takes over.
With its 2,800 members upset over the association's marketing strategy and a lack of communication, the board is restructuring and developing a new business plan. The board intends to elect a new president in the next few weeks.
