The City of Dryden has appointed John Cummings as its interim chief administrative officer (CAO) while it searches for his permanent replacement. Cummings was hired on as the city’s treasurer last fall.
“Mr. Cummings’ leadership and strong financial background will bring continued stability to the organization until council hires a new CAO,” Mayor Craig Nuttall said in a news release.
The city has engaged Boyden Global Executive Search to help find a permanent candidate for the role.
Cummings said he was pleased to lead the administration over the next few months.
“The city still faces many financial challenges and it will be important to maintain the recovery plan going into 2015,” Cummings said.
The CAO reports directly to council and provides leadership to staff at the City of Dryden. The position also builds and maintains key relationships with other levels of government, as well as with external partners.
