A Sudbury truck parts supplier and service centre has expanded its footprint to better serve its Northern Ontario clientele.
Fort Garry Industries announced in late June it's moved into a 13,000-square-foot facility in the Lively industrial park just west of the city. The new location is just down from its original spot on Fielding Road, also in the park.
In a news release, Robyn Spitzke, president of Fort Garry Industries, said the move is thanks to continued growth.
“We are continuing to invest in our facilities to ensure a great customer experience.
“As growth continues in the Sudbury market, we wanted to provide our customers and employees with a new and modern facility that meets everyone’s needs and helps provide the best customer service.”
Described as a "state-of-the-art" facility, the new building has an open-concept floor plan, which allows for "the largest heavy-duty parts showroom in the area," according to the company.
Having more space will enable the company to add additional inventory and expand its product offerings, it said in the release.
Headquartered in Winnipeg, MB, Fort Garry Industries was founded in 1919 as Fort Garry Tire & Vulcanizing.
Today, the company offers truck parts and full service repair and truck equipment installation for truck fleets, bus fleets, utility companies, the agriculture sector, tire shops, municipalities, and the mining industry.
Fort Garry Industries employs more than 500 people across 20 locations in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
