Sudbury developers will gather this Saturday to talk about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the mining sector during DevFest 2024.
Held annually, DevFest draws tech enthusiasts, researchers, industry leaders, and AI innovators to spend the day discussing relevant issues related to development in technology.
This year’s theme is ‘Responsible AI in Mining,’ which will focus on how artificial intelligence can be “effectively and ethically integrated into the mining industry.”
The day will comprise keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
Highlights of the event include sessions on building RAG solutions with Gemini; machine learning applications in mining plants; a five-stage approach to implementing AI in mining; and AI’s impact in UI/UX.
The event takes place Nov. 23 in the Fraser Auditorium at Laurentian University. It’s free to attend but registration is encouraged.
Details about the event, including how to register, are available here.
