Stakeholders from the mining, energy and construction sectors will be in Thunder Bay Sept. 11-12 for CEN-CAN 2024, the Central Canada Resource Expo.

Hosted by Canadian Trade-Ex at Fort William Gardens, the event will feature on-site demos, presentations, networking opportunities, a job fair, and more than 300 exhibits. CEN-CAN is a sister event to the Canadian Mining Expo, which takes place in Timmins every spring.

Highlights of this year’s conference include a gala dinner, a jackleg competition, and a full-day conference.

It will feature a presentation on the state of the mining industry, given by Ontario Mines Minister George Pirie, along with an address by Northern Development Minister Greg Rickford.

Delegates will also have an opportunity to visit the ‘prospector’s tent’ where they’ll have access to representatives from a range of junior mining companies.

Details on the event, including how to register, are available here.
