With an exploration project in the Lynn Lake area of Manitoba, Sudbury-based Independent Nickel has just seen a $14-million investment from Vancouver's Hunter Dickinson.
This gives Hunter Dickinson an initial 40 per cent stake in the company, with the option to increase its ownership to 57 per cent through a total $34 million investment in Independent Nickel.
Financing proceeds will go towards advancing feasibility and other studies on the Lynn Lake Project. The move also provides Independent Nickel with access to Hunter Dickinson's technical personnel.
Once financing is officially complete, Hunter Dickinson will nominate two people to be appointed to Independent Nickel's Board of Directors.
