A worker found unresponsive at Algoma Steel in Sault Ste. Marie earlier this month died of natural causes, a coroner's investigation has determined.
Manuel Alas-Sevillano from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, confirmed the finding to SooToday advising that his ministry's investigation into the death "is now closed."
The incident occurred on Algoma Steel property on Friday, June 3 and involved a worker from Fountain Tire.
The worker was taken by emergency medical services to Sault Area Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
