Sudbury Home Builders' Association hosting Housing Summit this month

Summit will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders with a focus on innovation, sustainability and affordability

The Sudbury and District Home Builders' Association and the Ontario Home Builders' Association (OHBA) are hosting the 2024 edition of the Housing Summit June 25.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Regent Street in Sudbury.

The Sudbury and District Home Builders' Association (SDHBA) is a non-profit organization representing builders, developers, renovators, and other professionals involved in the residential construction industry in the Greater Sudbury area.

The Housing Summit aims to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to address the critical issues facing the housing sector in Ontario. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and affordability, “the summit will feature insightful discussions, keynote presentations, and networking opportunities,” reads a release from SDHBA. 

The Housing Summit will cover a range of topics, including housing affordability, regulatory reform, technological advancements, and sustainable building practices. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights from expert speakers and engage in constructive conversations aimed at shaping the future of housing in Ontario.

“We are excited to partner with the Ontario Home Builders Association to host the Northern Ontario Housing Summit 2024,” said Derek Cashmore, president of the SDHBA, in the release. “This event serves as a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing, as we work towards finding solutions to the challenges in our industry.”
