LH North has been awarded a $2.1-million contract to repair the Medcalf Lake Narrows Bridge on Highway 599 in northwestern Ontario.
The road is a critical link to Pickle Lake that supports mining and forestry development in the area and hooks up to the winter road that serve many remote First Nation communities.
Work on the bridge begins in the spring.
The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines said 21 new jobs are being created.
