PPP Canada announced April 14 that it’s taking applications for “Round Six” of the P3 Canada Fund.
PPP Canada is a federal Crown corporation with a funding program that supports the construction model involving public-private partnerships (P3s) in a number of categories.
The $1.2-billion fund was first launched in 2009 for a five-year run. It’s now back for another five years is now cashed up with another $1.2 billion.
PPP Canada is emphasizing that it wants to support transportation, water/wastewater and solid waste disposal projects.
Priority will be given to those that “maximize private sector involvement.”
"Over the past five years, we have helped new jurisdictions across Canada bring a mix of large, medium and small P3s to the Canadian market," said John McBride, CEO of PPP Canada. "Through Round Six, we will continue to build experience through new jurisdictions, new sectors, and new approaches."
