The week-long event, which rotates to different rural areas around Ontario, attracted more than 80,000 visitors to the agri-business exhibition. It was the second time the event was held in Northern Ontario.
In a statement, board chairman Neil Fox praised the "strong team" put together among community members and the countless volunteers who dedicated many hours in organizing and running the event.
Fox said the plowing match created many friendships and relationships among those in neighbouring communities that continue to this day.
"Three years ago, we embarked on a journey with an unknown path," he said.
"We forged ahead with intellectual agility, blood, sweat and tears. Many obstacles were overcome, thanks to the sheer determination and collective will of our civic-minded community.
"From the generational wisdom of our agricultural community, to the senior business administration leadership around our tables – we created a team, developed a plan and executed this major project to perfection. It was amazing to watch."
