A 600-hectare property located in the Kirkland Lake gold camp is the focus of a 50/50 joint venture between Queenston Mining Inc. and Newstrike Resources Ltd.
Known as the Commodore Gold Property, the site includes 36 mineral claims and is located north of the Larder Lake Break alongside the Lebel-Gauthier Township line.
The most recent exploration on the property was done through 1995-96 by Sudbury Contact Mines Limited, when a 23-hole, 4,625-metre diamond drilling program resulted in a new gold discovery. A non-industry compliant inferred mineral resource was calculated at 670,000 tonnes grading 2.4 grams per tonne gold.
In exchange for interest in the property, both companies must pay the vendor $5,000, and within 180 days pay an additional $95,000 each. The vendor will also receive 35,000 Newstrike shares, and 10,000 Queenston shares.
